    Our first Wicked Game Day - The Guns of August - was a success, so we are planning another! (We hope to do this every two months going forward.) The event will start at 10 AM and run until 5 PM, with nine games in two sessions, covering a range of historical periods. Gamers of all ages and skill levels are welcome!

    Game Schedule

    Below is the tentative game schedule. We will allow players to reserve spaces in particular games, but walk-ins will also be welcome. Admission is $15.00 for the day, and can be paid on arrival or purchased from Wicked Gaming directly, but reservations for specific games should be directed to the organizers at ilg21@yahoo.com.

      [GA01] Bishops, Priests, and Deacons - 1942 style!: Lead your Shermans, Grants, and PBI (Poor Bloody Infantry) to break through Axis lines at El Alamein, supported by the holy trinity of self-propelled guns (what? did you think the title of this game referred to clergymen?).....or, as the Bersaglieri, will you defend your guns long enough for the Panzers to ride to the rescue? It is North Africa, October 1942 - will you recreate history, or will the world as we know it be turned upside down?

      No experience necessary. Rules will be taught, dice will be rolled; a sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises; ride now, ride now, ride for ruin and a red day!

      [GA02] The Battle of Pirmasens, 1793: The French have overthrown their king, and are now threatening the other crowned heads of Europe. The Prussians are having none of it! The ragged Revolutionaries clash with the most professional army in the world in this recreation of one of the classic battles of the French Revolutionary era. Carnage & Glory is a very popular computer-assisted wargaming system, giving great detail on the battle while still being quick to play and easy to learn.

      [GA03] Battle of the Chesapeake: In 1781, one of the most crucial naval battle of the American Revolution took place near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. This was the battle that sealed the fate of the British at Yorktown. Come see if you can change history in this fast-playing and popular naval game!

      [GA04] Keeping the World Safe for United Fruit: It is 1927. The government of El Salvador (or is that the Trustees of the United Fruit corporation?) have been having trouble with some local revolutionaries in the Valle de Zapotitán. The insurgents have set up a camp in the ruins of an old Mayan temple, hidden in the jungle. As usual, the US Marines are called in to deal with the problem, despite protests from the local government about the violation of Salvadorean sovereignty. Players will lead squads of leathernecks through the jungle, to make sure that Americans everywhere will have safe access to the bananas they have come to rely upon for a tasty and nutritious breakfast! Semper Fi!

      [GA11] Before Hamilton Was A Musical, He Was a Continental Soldier: Be Hamilton for an afternoon and take charge of the Continental Light Infantry as they storm Redoubt Number 10, or be Lafayette's friend and former aide-de-camp, the Vicomte de Viomenil, and lead the Forlorn Hope of the French Army into the teeth of British guns at Redoubt Number 9. It is Yorktown, October, 1781 - will you recreate the history that turned the world upside down - or, as Majors Campbell and McPherson, will you hold the line for king and country - and save America for the crown?

      [GA12] Assault on Fire Support Base Charlie: A Vietnam Skirmish Game: Fire base Charlie has been active in supporting US advances northward. NVA command wants the base eliminated so they can push the US forces south an open up the way for a large offensive. The US command has gotten wind of the plan and is sending in mechanized troops to shore up the base's defences. With they arrive on time? will the fast moving NVA and VC will the day and take out the base.

      [GA13] The Siege of Forli, 1500: The Italian Wars of the 16th Century lasted for decades, and involved France, Spain, the Holy Roman Empire, Switzerland, the Papacy and all of the small Italian city-states in a series of bloody conflicts. This scenario depicts the action around Forli where Caterina Sforza (reputed to be an alchemist, and history's first-ever "bottle blonde") defies the forces of Caesare Borgia - the man Machiavelli used as his model for the famous Prince. Can Caterina defy the superior forces of her opponents, and successfully defend the shattered walls of her citadel at Forli? Or will history repeat itself, with the triumph of her ruthless foes?
